- Spermatogonium undergoes 5-7 cycles of division to form primary spermatocyte
- So one spermatogonium forms 64-512 spermatozoa.

- Spermatogenesis completed in 74 days > 64 days > 60 days
Most fertile period in woman : “3 days” [ 2 days before ovulation + 1 day after ovulation ] because sperms are viable for 48 hours and secondary oocyte in the metaphase arrest waits for only 24 hours.
- Lh surge occurs 36 hours before ovulation
- Lh peck : 12 hours before ovulation > at ovulation
- In males spermatogenesis takes place in spminiferous tubules
- Maturation of sperms occurs in epididymis
- Capacitation of sperms occurs in female genital tract for 7 hours
